She found Greek Mythology at a tender age, the 3 major  (French,  Renaissance
Italian and Black), then gathered everything she despised about the place she called home, Eatonville, Georgia, sketching an alien culture for the world she'd been erroneously taught never had a desire for her or those like her.

Coming to unshroud a greater englobed world whose very stagnancy was in fact due to its estrangement from the worls she was raised maintaining unnecessary perimeters.

[Their Eyes Were Watching God] gives us an awakening, the novel, then decades later, the film. Suddenly, with whatever the world believed to be bang-on, was the defunct at first interaction of Janie and Teacake, defabricated, buried so deep it bore no fruit for the natural world, once and for all eradicating the virus no longer a perfect engine.
